2010/2011 Cruise
2010/2011 Cruise
Wednesday, April 20, 2011, Day 206. In the morning, we hung around Fishers Bay at Great Guana Cay and waved our good-byes to Blackthorn, which is headed north and back to the US. After lunch, we headed south to Man-O-War Cay, which is noted for superior boat building for over two centuries. Man-O-War was originally populated by Crown Loyalists from the American Revolution, and many of their descendants still populate the cay. The earliest settlers constructed ships and their descendants currently build the Abaco Runabout which is popular throughout the islands and in the US.

We were surprised to learn that, except for restaurants, most businesses will be closed Friday (Good Friday) through Monday (Easter Monday) including grocery stores, hardware stores, banks, etc.
