Saturday, April 30, 2011, Day 216. In the morning, we re-provisioned, including a visit to the weekly farmers market, called Da Market, in Marsh Harbour. It’s the last of their weekly market events now that the summer’s coming. We were underway before noon for Great Guana Cay. Once anchored, we had lunch and naps and all decided to cross the cay to snorkel some Atlantic reefs. Once there, Brandy was the only one willing to try getting beyond the punishing surf to see the reefs and colorful fish. He really enjoyed it, Later, we stopped for a swim and a drink at Nippers, where you can enjoy their salt water pools. Back on Escapade, Brandy dove the bottom and removed several fist size clusters of barnacles from the prop. Our performance underway should improve. Thanks, Brandy! We played--or tried to figure out how to play--Mexican Train dominoes with the 12-high set that Laurie and Brandy brought us at our request.
Sunday, May 1, 2011, Day 217. The wind howled all day. We went to Nippers for their weekly pig roast. We all ate too much. To settle our stomachs, we took a long walk on the beach. Then, we went to Grabber’s for cocktails and to listen to their band. Back on Escapade, we played Mexican Train Dominos but, in contrast to our games on Slow Dancin’, these games were not exciting. We’ll have to talk to Rusty and Joy about what we’re doing differently. No one was interested in dinner so we had a few snacks and some good conversation.
