Monday, May 9, 2011, Day 225. The banner photo is our last Bahamian sunset, for this season, anyway. The predicted weather (light and variable winds with seas less than 2 ft.) was pretty accurate until midnight. Then, the wind began to pick up -- about 15 knots beginning from the south-southeast and clocking around to the northeast. Seas were 3 to 5 feet. Part of the crossing became very uncomfortable. The last two hours were calm enough that we made it easily into the new port of Ft. Pierce and cleared customs through the Local Boater Option, which we had set up in Miami before we left.
Our Bahamian adventure is over. Sometime this summer, we’ll try to publish a summary page. The picture to the right is our ports-of-call for our 225 day adventure.
