2010/2011 Cruise
2010/2011 Cruise
Thursday, May 5, 2011, Day 221. Moderately high winds are predicted for the next few days, Laurie and Brandy leave on Saturday, we need to pick up our mail, and we need to prepare Escapade for her trip back to Florida. For the above reasons, we decided to head back to Marsh Harbour in the afternoon. The girls dingied to Man-O-War for the morning while Ken remained aboard to make water and Brandy slept since he is beginning to feel ill. The winds began to pick up in the afternoon and we headed for Marsh Harbour.
Friday, May 6, 2011, Day 222. The predicted storms never really materialized. We dinghied to town. Laurie and Brandy went for their coffee fix. Ken and Linda went to the Post office for the third time to get our mail, which we had sent 6 weeks ago, but still no package had arrived. We asked them to return it to the sender, our boaters’ mail service in Green Cove Springs. This is the first time the mail hasn’t arrived as planned. We also got fruit for snacks for the trip across the Gulf Stream. Later we all met for a delicious lunch at Curly Tails (See banner photo).
We spent the afternoon reading, talking, napping and the evening watching The Final Countdown, which Laurie and Brandy had never seen.
